Energetics
Paper production is energy intensive. On the territory of the joint-stock company there is a subsidiary - LLC "Solikamskaya CHPP", which provides the production units of the enterprise with process steam and part of the electricity.
The main volume of electricity for JSC "Solikamskbumprom" is received from LLC "Solikamskaya CHPP" and its own sources of generation.
JSC "Solikamskbumprom" is 100% provided with its own thermal energy.
Alternative heat sources
In order to optimize costs for the energy component, JSC "Solikamskbumprom" uses alternative heat sources.
When wood is processed in the process of producing newsprint, wood waste is generated, such as bark, sawdust, etc. The most effective way of using them is combustion to obtain process steam. For this purpose, a power plant from Wellons (USA) was put into operation at Solikamskbumprom JSC. With the commissioning of 2 auger presses for dewatering and thickening of osprey from Andritz (Austria), fibrous sludge and excess biologically active sludge from treatment facilities are additionally disposed of at a waste incineration plant.
During the production of thermomechanical pulp, a significant amount of steam-gas mixture is formed in the refining zone, which is sent to the steam recovery unit. From each megawatt-hour of electricity spent on chip grinding, process steam is generated, which is directed to the production of products.
Incineration of wood waste at a Wellons plant (USA) and steam recovery at thermomechanical pulp production lines can significantly reduce the cost of heat energy and significantly reduce the impact on the environment.
In recent years, the company has done a lot to develop its own power industry.
