Young employees of Solikamskbumprom performed successfully as part of the Solikamsk combined team at the regional stage of the MoloT (Youth Labor) project for working youth of the Volga Federal District in Perm Krai.
The papermakers competed in four disciplines:• Running (track and field relay)
• Dodgeball championship
• Intellectual game “Quiz”
• Family relay
The track and field relay team achieved a brilliant victory. Among its members was Mikhail Shchetkin, a lead engineer of the logging department.
— Our team turned out to be very close-knit; everyone knew each other and was friends, so we started preparing for the relay in advance. We understood each other’s strengths and weaknesses well, so it wasn’t difficult to distribute the stages, — Mikhail said, sharing the details of the victory. — I ran the starting distance – 800 meters. From the very first seconds, I tucked in behind the strong runners to feel the pace and assess the opponents: their fast starts seemed quite dangerous to me. After the first lap, I began overtaking competitors and creating a gap for the team. I was the first to pass the baton. After that, our guys only increased the advantage – all thanks to excellent preparation. The result was predictable: we confidently won with a good time margin.
The dodgeball championship participants took an honorable second place. The team consisted of:
• Elizaveta Koryakina, packaging machine operator, paper production department no. 2
• Nikolay Brazhkin, repair fitter, cellulose production plant
• Ivan Chinenov, press-vulcanizer operator, repair and mechanical workshop
• Konstantin Ustyuzhanin, deputy head of the forestry department
— MoloT, dodgeball, a storm of emotions – the perfect combination! — admits Elizaveta Koryakina. — The competitions gave us an incredible energy boost: the thrill of the fight, the joy of victories, and, most importantly, the feeling of being part of a true team. We supported each other, encouraged each other, and believed in victory until the last throw. It was cool, fun, and very friendly. An unforgettable experience that was good for both body and soul!
Participating in the Quiz was a valuable experience for our intellectuals. As a reminder: the Solikamskbumprom team, having won the municipal stage, earned the right to represent the city at the regional level.
The team included:
• Alexey Korznikov, lead engineer for operation, maintenance and repair of ventilation, groundwood production plant
• Marina Gonchar, lead analyst-programmer, information technology department
• Alexey Guryev, engineer of the group for technical operation, maintenance and repair of the main process equipment of the TMP and SGW production lines
• Anastasia Vyatkina, labour norming engineer, department of labor and wage management
Alexey Guryev shared his emotions about participating:
— MoloT is a very interesting event both in scale and organization. It’s pleasure to be part of such a large project! The event brings together participants from different parts of the region, and it has its own special atmosphere. During the game, you feel responsibility not only for yourself… and not even for the team and the enterprise, but for the whole city! And that gives strength. Having attended such an event, the desire to participate in similar competitions only grows stronger!
Olga Fionina, a cleaner of production and service premises of the timber truck workshop, performed admirably in the family relay. Her family showed an excellent result and made an important contribution to the team standings, proving that the main thing in such competitions is team spirit and the desire to be together.
Konstantin Ustyuzhanin, the leader of the youth association “BUMerang”, emphasized the significance of the project for team unity:
— Participation in the MoloT project definitely united and rallied the youth of our enterprise. The municipal stage helped identify new stars among the papermakers, and the regional stage allowed each of us to feel a sense of belonging to one big team of Solikamsk, gave new acquaintances and an opportunity to see how young people from other cities perform. But the most important thing is the focus on unity and team spirit. Winning prize places at such a level is an excellent result! I am once again convinced of the organization and determination of our youth. During working days, it’s rare to get together outside of production tasks, and this project is exactly what we need!
