The regional project "My First Profession", launched in 2024 with the participation of JSC Solikamskbumprom, the Regional Center for Advanced Professional Training, the administration of the Solikamsk Municipal District, and the Solikamsk Technological College, has entered a new stage of growth. Let us remind you that in June 2024, 32 ninth-graders of school No. 16 of Solikamsk received certificates in their first profession, “Maintenance Technician." Today, 60 high school students from Solikamsk and Krasnovishersk are mastering two professions: "Maintenance Technician" and "Chemical Analysis Laboratory Assistant."
"Last year’s experience brought us overwhelmingly positive feedback from the students," explains Natalia Shipulina, Director of the Solikamsk Technological College. "The current participants are school students who came to us with a clear purpose. They had heard about the project, followed its progress, and are deeply motivated to acquire their first profession. Through the “My First Profession” project, the students learn the basics of engineering graphics, materials science, metalworking, tool handling, and methods of laboratory chemical analysis. Most importantly, they get to apply their knowledge in practice. This hands-on approach naturally attracts students and delivers excellent results."Today, project participants are fully immersed in exploring these professions and have already begun practical training.
— I always go to the lessons of this course with pleasure, they are exciting. Chemistry is also interesting to me in my school lessons, but here it is more serious, there is more practice. I am sure that the knowledge I received today will be useful for me in the future and will have a positive impact on my education, — Vasilisa Korovina, a student of 9 “A” class of the School № 1shares her impressions. — In the future, I plan to take a summer internship at JSC Solikamskbumprom, as it is a great opportunity to try my first profession and consolidate the skills I have learned.
— I really want to get a certificate of the profession of "maintenance technician", this will allow me to start my professional career and, of course, earn my first money. I previously worked at JSC Solikamskbumprom during the summer holidays, and now, with a profession document, it will be even more interesting for me to take the first steps," says Eduard Pozdeev, a student of the 9th "A" class of the School No. 14. — I am interested in the profession of a maintenance technician, based on theoretical knowledge. We studied engineering graphics in class, and today we have our first practical lesson. I was really looking forward to it, I wanted to work with the instrument. I am satisfied.
— For us, the lessons of this course are a useful way to spend our leisure time. We gain new knowledge and socialize in the process. Both with teachers who give us professional knowledge and with our peers.
